Anjum has been a consultant, trainer and facilitator for over fifteen years within the public and private sector; with a professional background in project management, training and development, human resource management and diversity, inclusion and equality strategy for the public sector.
Anjum has successfully delivered equality and diversity training for frontline staff, middle and senior management and Boards, including unconscious bias, anti harassment, Dignity at Work, Cultural Awareness and Equality Impact Assessment, recruitment and interviewing skills (eliminating sub-conscious bias) and understanding Equality in action.
She served as an Associate Tutor with City University, designed and tutored in BTEC Certificate in a Community Work. Anjum also led courses on specialist topics such as case management, leadership, forced marriage, honour based violence, violence against women and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Her facilitation skills are based on the central principles of empowerment, responsibility and choice, creating an honest, flexible, challenging and safe environment to encourage constructive dialogue and creative effective relationships with one’s self and others. A great deal of Anjum’s training experience has been with leaders of community groups from different communities and cultures focusing particularly on skills-building, team development and user participation.
Anjum is a popular and effective trainer. Clients frequently request for a return to deliver their training and request her to design specialist in-house programmes. She is an energetic and engaging facilitator who has also successfully delivered conference speeches, facilitated conferences and workshops.
